There are many answers to that question, here are a few suggestion.

F- Friend you may see once a day, once a week or once a year.

R - Roman philosopher Cicero - true friendship: someone must be completely honest and trust worthy.

I - In wartime: Comrade: feeling of affinity that draws men together in time of war.

E- Extremely strong friendship between girl friends or best friends - B.F.F. Best Friends Forever.

N- Never loses loyalty and whom you speak with pride.

D - Describe of a male friend: Buddy, " Bro" or mate.

S -Shares his/ her times and thoughts.

H - Happy and makes you laugh.

I - It stands for a person who will help in a fix.

P - Pen Pal or Computer Pal.

It is only ten letters but those ten letters mean alot.

MY FRIEND OF THIRTY YEARS

My friends and I went to the same High School, we went to dances and parties together. We went out every year for Halloween, 1978 our costumes were KISS and Alice Cooper. Friends come and go but one friend has been a friend for thirty years. The making of a long time friend: she remembers the good times and not the bad times; she is honest and trusting and she makes me laugh. " She is my B.F.F. "

MY FREIND OF TEN YEARS

2001: My daughter was painting a Dragon on a store window for the West Perth Dragon Boat Festival. A Person who was working in the store, asked me out for coffee. Over the year he became a good friend. He is honest, trusting and makes me laugh. He is a person who will help in a fix. " He has been my Buddy for ten years".

COMRADE: World War 1

Buddies

From the North, East, South or West, When called upon, sent our best. Thru that "Melting Pot" there, Hearts were moulded, souls laid bare.

A simple greeting known as "Buddy" is worthy of a philosopher's study; No matter whether man or lad, that's the greeting we all had.

From as small a thing, as "Gimme a light", to laying down his life in a fight; There was no colour, nor was there creed. Whenever a "Buddy" was in need.

A man may have been of the Gospel bred, or so low that his name was dead; Yet when he grasped a "Buddy's" hand, there passed a love they alone understand.

Country and colour, creed and station, were moulded as one, in War's Devastation. When "Buddies" went on to that unknown goal, Shoulder to shoulder, soul to soul.

A FRIEND'S PRAYER:

May my friendship always be, The most important thing to me; With special friends I feel I'm blessed, So let me give my very best. I want to do much more than share, the hopes and plans of friends who care; I'll try all that of friend can do, to make their secret dreams come true. Let me use my heart to see, to realise what friends can be, and make no judgement from afar. But love my friends the way they are. By Jill Wolf
