World War 2, the U.S. Military needed a water proof tape, they enlisted Johnson & Johnson. Duct Tape was used as sealing tape on ammunition cases, repair military equipment quickly, including jeeps, firearms and aircraft.

Duct Tape is cloth pressure sensitive tape often sealed with polyethylene. It has a standard width of 1 7/8 inches and generally silver or black but is also available in other colours. Duct Tape is strong, flexible, very sticky, long-lasting adhesive and resistance to weathering.

Their website features thousand of duct tape uses from people around the world ranging from fashion, crafts to auto repair.

Duct Tape crafts for Halloween:

Costumes:

- Black pants and Black turtleneck, add white duck tape in bone shapes, it makes a quick and easy skeleton costume or try Silver duck tape to make a "Terminator" skeleton.

- White pants and White turtleneck, wrap yourself up with white duct tape, it makes a quick and easy Mummy.

Cemetery with Tombstones and coffins - Photo's below

I cut the tombstones and coffins from Styrofoam and cover them with black duct tape, also red and white duct tape was used, it took a month to make the pieces for the cemetery display.

A friend put together and murder investigation to go with the cemetery display, for some Halloween fun:

Crime Scene Investigation: Murder of Witch Hazel

Crime Scene Investigator: Fred

Location: Front Lawn

Event: Halloween Party

Fact: Witch Hazel was found Murdered on the front lawn.

Evidence Tagged at Crime scene:

1 - Pirate Pistol 2 - Sandals with Rock 3- glasses 4 - Halloween Lantern 5 - Best Costume Trophy 6 - Jack-o-Lantern stuck with a Knife 7 - Skull 8 - Wig 9 - Mask with Flashlight 10 - Pirate Hat and Hook

Witness Information:

Witch Hazel was noticed arriving at the Halloween Party with two people. One person dresses like a Pirate with Hat, Hook and Pistol. The other person was dressed like a Hippie with Mask, Sandals, Glasses, Wig and carried a Flashlight.

The witness kept stating one of the costumes was missing something. At the party Witch Hazel won the Trophy for Best Costume....one person was deadly jealous.

After the party someone found Witch Hazel on the front lawn...MURDERED.

Can you solve this crime? ...................................

Answer: Witch Hazel was found murdered on the front lawn after the Halloween party. The weapon was the knife that the killer had stuck into the jack-o-lantern to hide the evidence. The only motive for the murder had to be jealousy because the Pirate thought she had a better costume and deserved the Trophy more. The witness thought the Pirate costume was missing something. The knife that completed the costume had been hidden in her boot.

It was understood that Witch Hazel and the Pirate had always had problems with competition but this time it had proven DEADLY!!!!!!

Well, well. How very clever of the killer; won't be a spoiler and mention their profession but getting jealous over trophy's are never a good thing. The plot was very well thought-out...like something out of the TV show Castle maybe. Proven DEADLY indeed! Wonderful Canook. Looked at the great decorations again too. Good-Booo for now Angie! ~:) Tarheel.
